Microcement Floors and Walls - Alderley Edge, Cheshire
This project saw BT Microcement install microcement floor and wall finishes spanning over 400m2 at this high-end residential property near Alderley Edge, Cheshire. Smooth Microcement was used extensively throughout the property to create seamless, contemporary surfaces across multiple rooms, bringing a consistent finish to both floors and walls.
With over 400m² of microcement applied across both floors and walls, this was one of our larger residential installations in the Manchester and Cheshire area. The scale of the project was matched by the level of detailing required throughout the property.
Forcrete MicroQuartz (medium grain) in the colour ‘Honey’ was used throughout the project, creating a smooth, refined finish across both the microcement floors and walls. The warm neutral tone works particularly well throughout the property, creating a seamless and consistent finish across the different spaces.
The design combined microcement walls with statement marble tiles, creating contrast while maintaining a clean and contemporary feel. Mixing microcement with other natural materials, such as stone, tile and timber, is always a winning combination, with the subtle texture of the microcement providing a calm backdrop that allows the character of the other materials to stand out.
